The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Team. As the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and monitoring marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotions across all areas of the business in Australia to support business objectives. You will be required to co-ordinate cross-functional groups and leverage stakeholders to gain insights, campaign development and activation throughout all channels – D2C, B2B, Distributors, Mail, Web, Retail, Phone & Wholesale. You will be a strategic player in innovating customer communications, bringing new ideas to the table and building successful Omni-channel campaigns against company strategy and objectives.
The Role
The key focus areas of the role include:
- Successfully work cross functionally to review and utilise analytics that exist within the business, identifying new commercial, promotional and communication opportunities
- Build promotion campaign proposals, design, and deliver approved campaigns with the required internal teams and stakeholders
- Plan and communicate to co-ordinate and attend specific trading and planning meetings, work cross-functionally with relevant teams – Direct Channels, Buying, Forecasting and Pricing
- Overlay key marketing activity & spend with consumption data to measure, analyse and report on the effectiveness of our campaigns
- Recognise and analyse key drivers & trends in the market
- Work closely with Finance to calculate ROI for key marketing activities to influence future marketing choices
- Create, present, deliver and monitor innovative marketing campaigns to respond to internal, industry and market needs
- Monitor business growth and performance across KPIs on a daily/weekly basis and provide reports for the business
- Create and deliver clear presentations and outputs, must also be comfortable and confident in presenting
The Candidate
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- 5 years’ minimum experience delivering direct marketing campaigns and/or promotions and management
- Qualification in Marketing or Business (desirable)
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, LinkedIn targeting campaigns
- Excellent communication, organisation skills and interpersonal skills
- Strategic & creative thinker with the ability to be hands on and get things done
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights

The Role

As the successful candidate you will assist with supporting and accurately administering ICT procurement activities within the organisation.
This includes drafting and preparing procurement document packs and obtaining necessary approvals in accordance with Departmental procurement policy and legislation; liaising with relevant staff and other procurement stakeholders, to efficiently and cooperatively progress procurement activities; maintaining an overview of concurrent procurement activities and appropriately forecasting and prioritising work effort.
The ICT Procurement Support Officer will be confident with task coordination, communication and maintaining ‘dashboards’ or similar artefacts to support briefing, decision making and record keeping. This includes ensuring staff have appropriate information and defensible audit records regarding current and historic procurement activities.
About the role
The contractor will be engaged on a time and material basis. Notwithstanding, the following tasks and required skills to achieve them for the duration of this engagement are:
Deliverables
- In consultation with the department’s Program Management, engineering and work streams, manage acquisition and disposal of the department’s configuration items (both software and hardware).
- Prepare and draft relevant procurement documentation to support both simple and complex ICT Hardware/Software procurements.
- Collate, organise and present current and predicted procurement activity data from across the LNIC to support organisational decisions, both regarding budgeting and work prioritisation, and to inform procurement activity forecast planning.
- Create and maintain the software asset management register including the responsibility to manage physical asset returns on departure of the department’s resources.
- Provide assistance to the department’s Business Intelligence Manager for non-material procurement as required.
- Liaise confidently with internal stakeholders regarding procurement activities and work collaboratively to support efficient work processes.
- Other duties as directed by the Director, Deputy Director and Business Intelligence Manager.
The candidate requirements
- Minimum of Procurement & Contract Management Diploma or related Degree required;
- Demonstrated experience as an ICT Procurement Support Officer, or similar role;
- Demonstrated experience delivering procurement support to executive level staff in a Government Department;
- Experience with IT Service Management Frameworks, such as ITIL;
- Experience in Software Asset Management;
- Sound skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Highly effective written skills to support documentation and communication requirements; and
- Ability to work effectively in an agile team environment.
Desirable skills and experience
- Formally trained in, or has practical experience in the Defence Change Management Process; and
- Previous Defence experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Systems Engineer contractor with Department of Defence experience to work on the various stages of the project lifecycle.
The Role:
The contractor will be expected to act in a technical hands-on role, with responsibility as the subject matter expert lead for software design & applications as well as middleware & routing. The contractor will also assist with system administration and test tool development, which will require the key person to have programming aptitude.
- Provide SME advice on in-service or emerging components of communications networks and their interfaces
- Provide engineering management oversight of the system configuration, processes and personnel.
- As directed, investigate emerging waveforms through desktop analysis and trials.
- Support the development and deployment of test tools and procedures within the team.
- Provide SME advice on in-service or emerging systems and standards
- Support the development of test threads.
- Attend and inform program/project events.
- Develop and coordinate operational analysis supporting tests and trials with Army and other Defence organisations.
- Support risk reduction trials and acceptance tests for systems.
- Apply the APS code of conduct and principles of equity and diversity, fraud and ethics, and OH&S.
- Provide other services as tasked.
The Candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and/or Systems Engineering
- Software development experience (including work done independently or as part of a small team).
- It is highly desirable that contractor involved in this task has:
- Experience in the use of middleware for distributed applications
- Extensive Network programming experience, including:
- Familiarity with the ethernet/IP headers and packet structuring for the development of inspection and filtering rules
- Familiarity with writing software linking to raw packet capture libraries (libpcap)
- Experience in web front-end development.
- Experience with unified modelling language
- Experience with writing acceptance test procedures
- Knowledge of deployable ADF command and control systems
- Formal training in (or has equivalent experience in) the deployment and administration of large scale virtualised environments (ESXi)
- Experience with conducting data and configuration management, particularly within documentation; and software and hardware baselines
- Training or certifications in project management or business analysis qualifications.
- A currently active security clearance of at least NV1 is required for the role
What the role offers:
- $1200 -$2000/day contracting rate for the right candidate
