The Role:
We are seeking someone to join our small IT team in the role of Windows System Administrator. As part of the SysOps team you will provide ongoing system administration for OPC’s Windows systems; along with advice and expertise to assist with new Windows server projects and activities, in alignment with our ICT strategic plan.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience and ability to provide administration and technical support across a broad range of Windows server and desktop systems; including, Windows Server, MS SQL server, SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Remote Desktop, and Exchange.
- Demonstrated ability to work well on your own or as part of a team, being able to respond to competing priorities and issues to ensure ongoing availability of ICT related services.
- Proven experience in contributing to technical infrastructure and applications related projects.
- Current hands on technical skills in ICT related hardware and systems; including experience in application patching, packaging and deployment.
- Demonstrated awareness and understanding of contemporary ICT industry practice.

The Role:
The Service Desk Analyst Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:
- Assist staff via phone, email, remote and onsite support with faults, issues, incidents and service requests within an ITIL framework.
- Record accurate, timelyand meaningful data in relation to client follow ups, requests and communication.
- Undertake and administer support for staff by providing
consistent, professional and timely support and guidance to staff on program and IT areas.
- Provide on-call support after hours on a rostered basis.
- Determine software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to
problems. Install and configure software and hardware, and repair and replace peripheral equipment.
- Ensure all service support knowledgebase and artefacts, and policies and procedures are followed at all times to ensure consistency and compliance of service.
- Assist in the development and updating of knowledgebase articles, and standard operating processes and procedures.

The Role:
The Security Expert will provide services as a senior information and cyber security analyst, to oversee the technical implementation and delivery of a suite of priority cyber security services to the department and its partners, including the Australian Signals Directorate (ASDs) recommended service offerings. The Security Expert will be working in a small team overseen by Agency project management.
PRIMARY TECHNOLOGIES: MS-Office productivity applications, MS endpoints (server and desktop Operating Systems) and endpoint security controls associated with ASDs Essential Eight, DNS and other network protocols of interest to Cyber operations, Hostbased Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (HIDS/HIPS), Wintel, Linux and other mid-range platforms, secure network and gateway service technologies.
The Security Expert Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:
- Manage alignment of cyber security controls with corporate level information and cyber security requirements.
- Assess cyber security/access management policies and procedures.
- Assess and report on cyber security policies, procedures and controls relating to the project and services.
- Oversee validation activities for cyber security projects to completion.
- Provide expert technical advice, support and recommendations on Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) best practices in relation to government information and cyber security policy, threat and risk management frameworks.
- Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the cyber security GRC subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
