Position : Program Benefits Management Specialist

Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Program Benefits Management Specialist contractor for a government agency.
The Benefits and Risk Management Specialist will undertake a range of activities to support the effective and efficient management of benefits and risks for the agency’s program. Providing high level support to the Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Director, including preparing and reviewing high-level documentation and correspondence, managing complex scheduling requirements, and coordinating workflow.
The role will works closely with the Program and Organisational Transformation Division (OTD) leadership teams to ensure that actions are followed up and completed on time. This role will also involve managing strategic activities for the Program.
The Role
Benefits realisation management (BRM) is a process of identifying, planning, managing and evaluating the intended benefits of an investment. BRM informs investment decisions and establishes plans to realise intended benefits. The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading a review of the benefits management for the Program. This will include updating any associated documentation including benefit profiles and registers and facilitation benefit and risk workshops to review and update the program benefits and risks.
- Uplifting benefits reporting capability to meet internal and external requirements.
- Support the Program to develop an approach to benefits management for the Program that aligns with scaled agile methodologies.
- Build strong and effective relationships with a range of stakeholders with key internal stakeholders, building understanding and commitment to benefits realisation and ongoing management.
- Support building program management capability within the Program Office team. This includes coaching and mentoring regarding actively managing the benefits for the Program.
- Contribute to team planning, coordination and workflow management and shaping the teams work program in alignment with the Program objectives.

This position reports to the Program Manager – Heavy Armoured Vehicles.
The Role
The Commercial Manager HAS is responsible for the management of the HAS head contract including CCPs, commercial aspects of the HACS Sustainment RFT response, and internal and subcontracts agreements required for delivery of the contract, in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and specific contract requirements. The role will participate in positioning the company for scope growth arising from the Interim HAS contract, and to maximise scope opportunity for the yet to be defined HAS Sustainment RFT. The role includes (but not limited to):
- Manage the company’s commercial matters as they relate to HAS and the HAS Sustainment RFT development, compilation, internal approvals, submission, subsequent negotiations and execution.
- Establish, maintain and amend assigned contracts and agreements in accordance with the company’s and corporate requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate CCPs and Proposals ready for authorisation in accordance with Company procedures.
- Participate in the development and negotiation of contract and sub-contract agreements.
- Perform contract authorisation within delegated authority.
- Develop, establish and manage the company’s Intercompany Support Agreements.
- Support the development and delivery of Contract based data deliverables to the customer in accordance with contract schedules.
- Ensure compliance with the company, customer and supplier confidentiality, trade compliance and security requirements including proposal authorisations.
- Ensure that all contract and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and managed by the project team(s).
- Participate as a member of the project team in the development of negotiation strategies, as assigned.

The Role
The Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for providing a high level of workmanship in the servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of ASLAV, M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank and M88/A2 vehicle platforms and for ensuring that workload demand is completed within the designated time frame and to the workshop manuals, quality, safety and environmental standards. The role includes (but not limited to):
- Conduct work in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
- Service, inspection and maintenance in accordance with workshop manuals.
- Repairs – disassemble and reassemble vehicles and subassemblies in accordance with the details instructions contained in routing and technical drawings.
- Ensure the proper use of support and test equipment and that adequate materials are available and maintained for tasks and are kept in good working order.
- Assist with streamlining processes within the department for continuous improvement.
- Complete all quality documentation in accordance with production inspection record sheet and routing as directed.
