The Role
The key focus areas of the role include:

  • Provide assistance to Sales and Operations team
  • Entering and following up quotations
  • Processing daily sales orders
  • Preparing dispatch paperwork for Sales Sample Orders
  • Processing internal and external sample requests
  • Inbound telephone enquiries to support Sales team
  • Day to day admin duties. (data entry, word processing, filing etc)
  • Handling all aspects of a customer’s interaction including sales, warranties and return goods
  • Provide high level administrative support and customer service both internally and externally
  • Create a positive relationship in all customer interactions, maintaining a professional and friendly manner and ensuring customer satisfaction as a priority
  • Acknowledge, resolve and record customer complaints and escalate any unresolved issues
  • Undertake routine system searches, input and extract data using available computer systems

  • Your engineering qualification or over 8 years of industry experience demonstrates your expertise.
  • You are well-versed in guided weapons engineering services, including energetic material qualification, guided weapons qualification, through-life management, insensitive munitions, safety templates, and guidance and control systems.
  • Your record includes developing professional artifacts in line with international standards, such as requirement specifications, design documents, reports, V&V plans, hazard analyses, guided weapon certification, contract documentation, and plans.

The Role:
We are seeking someone to join our small IT team in the role of Windows System Administrator. As part of the SysOps team you will provide ongoing system administration for OPC’s Windows systems; along with advice and expertise to assist with new Windows server projects and activities, in alignment with our ICT strategic plan. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to provide administration and technical support across a broad range of Windows server and desktop systems; including, Windows Server, MS SQL server, SCCM/MECM, WSUS, Remote Desktop, and Exchange.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well on your own or as part of a team, being able to respond to competing priorities and issues to ensure ongoing availability of ICT related services.
  • Proven experience in contributing to technical infrastructure and applications related projects.
  • Current hands on technical skills in ICT related hardware and systems; including experience in application patching, packaging and deployment.
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of contemporary ICT industry practice.

The Role:

The Service Desk Analyst Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:

  • Assist staff via phone, email, remote and onsite support with faults, issues, incidents and service requests within an ITIL framework.
  • Record accurate, timelyand meaningful data in relation to client follow ups, requests and communication.
  • Undertake and administer support for staff by providing
    consistent, professional and timely support and guidance to staff on program and IT areas.
  • Provide on-call support after hours on a rostered basis.
  • Determine software and hardware requirements to provide solutions to
    problems. Install and configure software and hardware, and repair and replace peripheral equipment.
  • Ensure all service support knowledgebase and artefacts, and policies and procedures are followed at all times to ensure consistency and compliance of service.
  • Assist in the development and updating of knowledgebase articles, and standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with team members and other support areas to provide resolution of issues, including the escalation of more complex issues to management and technical teams as required.
  • Conduct administration, scrip, and access management tasks where
    required.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of additional support activities aimed at enhancing the capability of the organisation and service delivery improvement.
  • Conduct investigations for troubleshooting, research and analysis to obtain evidence based conclusions and assist in the management, preparation and coordination of policy or procedure formulation and/or project management.
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations. Represent the agency at meetings, conferences and seminars.
  • Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.
  • Make and communicate decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
  • Contribute to doctrine, election preparation and delivery activities in accordance with the framework, according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.


The Candidate:
Essential criteria

  • Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time within the provision of business support arrangements and service desk operations.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
  • Analytical abilities with the ability to obtain accurate conclusions and apply innovative initiatives while contributing to change and business improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.

Desirable criteria:

  •  Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Citrix, ITIL and Remote Access platforms are highly desirable.

Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Security Expert contractor for a government department.

The Role:
The Security Expert will provide services as a senior information and cyber security analyst, to oversee the technical implementation and delivery of a suite of priority cyber security services to the department and its partners, including the Australian Signals Directorate (ASDs) recommended service offerings. The Security Expert will be working in a small team overseen by Agency project management.

PRIMARY TECHNOLOGIES: MS-Office productivity applications, MS endpoints (server and desktop Operating Systems) and endpoint security controls associated with ASDs Essential Eight, DNS and other network protocols of interest to Cyber operations, Hostbased Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (HIDS/HIPS), Wintel, Linux and other mid-range platforms, secure network and gateway service technologies.

The Security Expert Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:

  • Manage alignment of cyber security controls with corporate level information and cyber security requirements.
  • Assess cyber security/access management policies and procedures.
  • Assess and report on cyber security policies, procedures and controls relating to the project and services.
  • Oversee validation activities for cyber security projects to completion.
  • Provide expert technical advice, support and recommendations on Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) best practices in relation to government information and cyber security policy, threat and risk management frameworks.
  • Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the cyber security GRC subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
  • Document and deliver a range of technical / risk assessment documentation and reports including (but not limited to):
    • Security Risk Assessments (SRA).
    • Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA).
    • Statements of Applicability (SoA).
    • Security Risk Management Plans (SRMP).
    • Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
  • Negotiate, engage and manage relationships with other service providers to build security services and related project delivery capability.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Encourage innovation, continuous improvement and manage and support change.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for GRC services and activities to support the projects.
  • Manage the assessment and reporting of information and cyber security risks, governance and compliance controls with regard to systems, processes, procedures, tools and techniques utilised by the services.
  • Provide leadership on GRC system and process management at the organisational and business levels.


The Candidate:
Essential criteria

  • Demonstrated experience and success delivering governance, risk and compliance documentation including SRA, TRA, SoA, SRMP and PIA, using Federal Government information security policy (i.e. Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework) and the ACSCs Cyber Security principles and guidelines and recommended service offerings.

Weighted Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of strategic, contemporary cyber security solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry Cyber Security frameworks, best practices and standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry public cloud best practices and standards.
