This is an opportunity to relocate to Canberra to work in an exciting govt department. The role will involve being sponsored to receive TS PV 

The Role:
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conduct penetration testing of ICT applications and gateway infrastructure
  • Utilise a number of testing techniques, frameworks and tools
  • Develop specific plans and procedures for penetration tests
  • Record approaches, techniques and results for reports
  • Produce penetration test reports
  • Recommend technical solutions for identified vulnerabilities
  • Work ethically and to agreed penetration test guidelines and objectives
  • As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical team


The Candidate:

Essential criteria

  • Experience with a similar role, preferably in a government department
  • Possesses an NV1 Security clearance or higher

  • Design, test and deploy new versions of the Windows operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware
  • Integrate and support management and security software and configurations
  • Provide server automation
  • Integrate with MFA solutions
  • Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software
  • Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised Windows systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues
  • Manage server migration when required

The Role:

The .Net Developer is required to work with the project team to uplift the existing codevand deliver the requirements for enhancements and improvements.
Success for this role will rely on the individual’s ability to deliver in a fast paced and highly dynamic environment, be a good cultural fit and an ability to challenge and drive, thinking in new directions.

The Service Desk Analyst Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:

  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and enhance a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation in accordance with AEC Standards.
  • Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NET Core), and additional Microsoft technology stack.
  • Follow the Agile Methodology for software development using tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Liaise with technical and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and/or faults within fielded production.
  • Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the management,
    preparation, and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management.

The Candidate:
Essential criteria

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Software Development Methodologies & documentation.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Backend development experience using web API and SQL technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong experience in Developing automated application build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NET Core), and additional Microsoft technology stack.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud-based applications development.
  • Ability to produce well designed, documented, and testable code.
  • Peer review of developed products and scripts.
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.

  • Australian Citizenship with a willingness to undergo security vetting at the Negative Vetting NV1 level.
  • Experience in Cloud-based technologies.

The department is looking for a professional and enthusiastic Executive Officer to provide strategic advice, coordination, and high-level support to the First Assistant Commissioner (FAC), Chief Information Officer Division, including managing a diverse range of critical issues, services and projects to support the achievement of the Enterprise Transformation Group’s (ETG) strategic operational objectives.

You will join a team of a highly motivated and collaborative professionals that work in the Enterprise Transformation Group (ETG). The ETG is made up of two Divisions that are focused on delivering a modernisation agenda that will see the department transition and roll management systems onto contemporary and secure solutions. The ETG is committed to establishing and maintaining a high performing and positive workplace culture. You will operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment, working closely with the First Assistant Commissioner (FAC), Assistant Commissioners (ACs), Directors and other Executive Support staff.

The Role
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Analysing and synthesising information from a range of internal and external sources to provide timely strategic advice to the FAC.
  • Proactively managing the workflow through the FAC’s office, including providing advice on context, quality assurance and coordinating any necessary follow up to ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
  • Producing correspondence, briefings, and communication material on behalf of the FAC.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the FAC’s office and responding appropriately to a range of routine, sensitive and urgent agency matters with ease.
  • Providing high-level support to governance committees, meetings and forums chaired or convened by the FAC.
  • Making and communicating decisions using professional judgement in a complex and changing environment.
  • Attending meetings with the FAC and/or other members of the ETG Leadership Team to assist with arising actions.
  • Developing and actively managing internal and external relationships, including collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation, representing the ETG and the agency in various forums.
  • Performing additional duties and undertaking projects as directed by the FAC.


The Candidate:
Essential criteria

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information to people from different backgrounds and levels of seniority.
  • Experience in preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence, briefings, talking points, business plans, papers and other written artefacts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and communicate decisions using professional judgement.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in managing quality assurance (writing, editing, proof reading) of high volumes of correspondence, briefs and reports.
  • Experience in effectively managing competing priorities with the ability to manage upwards and provide strategic advice and support to Senior Executives.
  • A high degree of initiative, integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
