The Company
Gateway Synergy is looking for a Security Operations Lead on behalf of our client. Our client is a rapidly growing company in the Defence industry, with an urgent need for exceptional professionals. They are located all over the East Coast and are interested in highly qualified individuals interested in growing with them.

The Role & Requirements 
Work with a committed and well regarded security team. Take charge as the 24/7 operational Security Admin Lead (No shift work), overseeing the protection of classified technology and cloud infrastructures – strengthening Australia’s cyber defence. Drive the implementation of robust security policies, procedures, and systems to safeguard classified environments of national significance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential vulnerabilities, proactively addressing risks and ensuring the utmost data integrity and security. Coach and mentor your team, fostering a culture of vigilance and fostering the skills necessary to combat ever-evolving cyber threats. Keep pace with the market around ways to improve security through selection and deployment of technologies and other controls. Be a key stakeholder in development of our security architecture and have the ability to influence key design decisions

The candidate requirements

• Ready to embrace hands-on experiences, defying the work-from-home trend in pursuit of meaningful action.
• A security administration expert with a strong foundation in security principles, protocols, and best practices.
• A trusted leader, dedicated to nurturing a close-knit team and persevering until every threat is conquered.

Security
This is a security assessed position. The successful candidate must have the ability to attain required Federal Government security clearance.

Other
The role may require national travel, overnight stays and liaison with partners and suppliers.
