My client is a large multidisciplinary team, providing occupational therapy, speech pathology, art therapy and psychology services to neurotypical and neurodivergent children and adolescents.

The Role
 
An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our client’s expanding team. You will support children aged 2-16 to achieve their goals.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Meeting with parents or caregivers to conduct initial consultations.
  • Liaising with parents or caregivers to establish child and family-centred goals.
  • Designing strengths-based therapy programs to support children to achieve their goals.
  • Liaising with other professionals that are involved in the child’s care.
  • Providing therapy support in the child’s natural environment.
  • Conducting standardised Occupational Therapy and developmental assessments.
  • Developing resources for therapy and home programs.
  • Demonstrating effective leadership skills to inspire and motivate other team members.
  • Fostering a learning environment within the team and supporting the professional development of each supervisee in a personalised manner, aligning with the company’s values and policies.

The candidate
 
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have a passion for paediatrics and a caring and empathetic approach to your work. You will have:

  • Interest in providing neurodiversity affirming services
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Drivers license and reliable vehicle or novated leasing option
