The Company  
A family owned building material company with head office in Brisbane providing commercial door hardware, locksmiths, windows, doors, frames, truss, trade plumbing and trade building supplies. Our client is a dynamic building material company with great company culture, providing a wonderful working experience for their employees.

The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Internal Sales Person to join our client’s team in Brisbane. As the Internal Sales Person you will operate out of the company’s Chermside site, reporting to the Store Manager.

The Role
The role includes (but not limited to):

• Answering incoming call enquiries particularly with regards to product enquiries and quotations as well as offering technical support in a timely manner.
• Asking qualifying questions to customers over the phone to ensure product sales are in line with expectations
• Entry of orders and purchasing requests
• Some basic estimating
• Communicate with our purchasing department on what stock is required and volumes.
• Assist in scheduled inventory counts
• Assist and support external sales executives and managers

The Candidate 
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in Timber / Trade or the Building Industry Essential
• Professional presentation
• Exceptional phone manner
• Someone who is dynamic, enthusiastic, has a positive approach to work and is trustworthy
• Proven experience generating quotations for customers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Very good computer skills
• We are looking for someone who can multi-task and will juggle different tasks depending on priorities of the day
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, gets the job done and on time
• Own car preferred
• Working from home will be negotiated after 6 months’ probation period has passed
