Position : Microsoft Windows Engineer

Location : ACT

Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Microsoft Windows Engineer contractor for a government department. An exciting opportunity is open for IT roles for a rapidly growing 6-year project. Be part of a team that makes meaningful changes and improves Australian lives. 

The Role:
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop and operate a windows server platform including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, remote desktop services and WSUS
• Design, test and deploy new versions of the Windows operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware
• Integrate and support management and security software and configurations
• Provide server automation
• Integrate with MFA solutions
• Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software
• Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised Windows systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues
• Manage server migration when required
• As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical team

The Candidate:
Essential criteria

• Experience with a similar role, preferably in a government department
• Possesses an NV1 Security clearance or higher
