Position : Data Engineer

Gateway Synergy is looking for highly experienced Data Engineer contractor for a government department. An exciting opportunity is open for exciting roles at a rapidly growing 6-year project. Be part of a team that makes meaningful changes and improves Australian lives. 

The Role:
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design and build data warehouses, databases and data lakes
• Monitor and conduct troubleshooting activities
• Implement data optimization methods and scaling of data storage 
• Design data models 
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to identify system improvements 
• Support, plan and conduct test and evaluation activities for deliverable systems and products. 
• As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical team

The Candidate:
Essential criteria

• Experience with a similar role, preferably in a government department
• Possesses an NV1 Security clearance or higher
